Bandh Foundation conducted a Flood Relief Campaign as part of its disaster response initiative to offer support to people from Chikhali Village in Kolhapur district, who were affected due to heavy flooding of Panchaganga River. These people were almost left homeless because their homes were more than 50% submerged under flood water and they had nowhere to go. Government of Maharashtra mobilized the affected people to other locations to protect them from floods. One such group of people were given temporary accommodation at Kalyani Hall in Budhwar Peth Kolhapur.

Bandh Foundation approached these people to offer help. We prepared and served breakfast for the people who had no means or resource to cook their own food.
