SUMMARY:Food Donation Drive at CPR Hospital Kolhapur
DESCRIPTION:Bandh Foundation organized a food donation drive at CPR Hospital\, Kolhapur. This drive was held at a time when Covid-19 second wave was at its peak and there were several restrictions in place on mobility. Add to that the severe burden on hospitals to care of positive patients. While so many patients were admitted to CPR hospital\, we observed that the relatives of patients\, who were at the hospital to support their family members\, faced difficulties due to poor basic facilities at the hospital. They were finding it hard to get even food and water since restaurants in the vicinity we closed due to lockdowns. \nBandh Foundation therefore decided to help fellow citizens by distributing cooked food packets and water bottle. We distributed more than 100 water bottles and food packets which we cooked in the foundation’s own kitchen. Our volunteers helped in packing the food\, loading and unloading cartons at the hospital and in its distribution to the needy.
